About Us
Dr. Jinetsy I. Rivera-Ortiz is a board-certified endocrinologist who subspecializes in thyroid conditions, diabetes, metabolism, and obesity management. Also, offers aesthetic medicine and treatments.
After graduating with honors from the Bachelor's Degree in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus, she completed her doctorate in medicine at the Central University of the Caribbean.
Dr. Rivera-Ortiz completed a specialty in Internal Medicine at the Adult University Hospital, UPR Medical Sciences Campus, and completed her subspecialty in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism with honors.

Also, she has completed multiple CME training and continuing education in Aesthetic Medicine. She is one of the few Cutera's provider in Puerto Rico and her clinic is one of the exclusive locations that offers truSculpt iD and Flex treatments.
She has excelled in innovative treatments with Nd:Yag laser 1064nm which she uses to treat includes vascular lesions (spider veins) and provides exclusive Laser Genesis.
In 2020, she decided to create Endocrinology and Metabolism Wellness Center to practice her profession in the town of Arecibo. Dr. Rivera-Ortiz offers a variety of services and treatments to improve and maintain the optimal health of her patients.

She is passionate about metabolism and obesity related issues, which is why she offers management and medical treatments for obesity in her office. Additionally, educates about obesity since this is a chronic and multifactorial condition, and needs to be managed with the same importance as other chronic conditions.
Due to multiple requests from our patients, we have incorporated FDA-approved aesthetic treatments for obesity, and products that aid hair and nail growth.
